About the role
On behalf of our client, a pioneering software house specializing in
state-of-the-art technology products and solutions related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and analytics, we are searching for an Automation Test Engineer to join their high caliber team.
A day in the life of an Automation Test Engineer
The ideal candidate should be an expert in automation Testing. You must be self-driven, hard-working and passionate about tracking bugs. You are committed to produce high quality test plans and deliver to deadlines. You will participate in all phases of software testing, to ensure that all product and quality objectives are met. Good communication skills are a must and a good sense of humour a bonus!
Your day to day
- Develop clear, detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Coordinate and plan testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Create tests to identify software problems
- Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and exciting products to meet client needs
- Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases on automated testing frameworks
- Analyze test results and interact with all development team to resolve test failures
- Script test cases using automation environment and integrate in regression infrastructure
- Work in a cross-functional Scrum team comprised of Front End, Back End, and Data Science members
- Monitor debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
What you will need
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Software quality assurance automation testing
- BSc in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes and tools
- Experience with testing frameworks like PyTest, Jasmine and Selenium or equivalent
- Strong experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Solid experience with both white and black box testing
- Solid experience with automation testing tools
- Solid experience with at least one scripting language (ideally Python)
- Familiar with SQL/NoSQL databases
