On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the field of Computers, Information Systems and particularly Enterprise Communications, with a leading activity in the Greek market for 30 consecutive years, we are currently looking for a Network Engineer, to join its technically advanced team.

A day in the life of a Network Engineer

As a network security engineer, you'll have responsibility for configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining various computer networks at client sites. The role includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

Your day-to-day

• Assist as Second Level Support for NOC team (Network Operation Center team)
• Participate in a team or independently to complete the project (migration, expansion building, etc.)
• Configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining various computer networks 
• Creation, recording, and implementation of technical solutions for the needs of network development/improvement
• Active participation in the drafting of technical texts (internal documentation of network services

What you will need

• Good understanding of the OSI model, of the TCP/IP protocol suite, and the relative routing and switching protocols (IP subnetting, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP). 

• Installation and configuration of relative network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, VPNs, QoS, etc.)

• 2+ years of previous experience in a similar position

• Proven working experience in complex security environments with at least one vendor (CHECKPOINT, FORTINET, CISCO)

• Proven working experience in complex networking environments with at least one vendor (CISCO, HP, ALCATEL)

• Certification in the various related sector are welcome
