On behalf of our client, a leader in the ferry booking market, we are currently looking for a self- driven PHP Backend Engineer, to join its development team. 

A day in the life of a PHP Backend Engineer

You will provide solutions and assist in the building of the best search and booking engine for ferries in the Europe. You need to have an interactive mindset, in order to join an exceptional engineering team. You are the best fit for the role, if you enjoy problem solving and technical challenges, working with an interactive team!

Your day-to-day

• Implement application features to improve customer experience
• Write clean and performant code and analyze documentation
• Troubleshoot application and code issues
• Improve application features to enhance performance
• Help the team to continuously improve in technical skills and performance

What you will need

• 3+ years of extensive experience with PHP
• Exceptional knowledge of object-oriented design and third-party APIs
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular PHP web framework (Symfony, Laravel)
• Experience with test-driven development in PHP using PHPUnit, Codeception
• Experience with Git and Docker
• Familiarity with AWS and no-sql databases (DynamoDB,Redis)
