On behalf of our client, a European medical technology company with multiple awards that is currently expanding by opening new offices in Athens, we are looking for a self-driven Python Engineer, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a Python Engineer

You will be an expert in python programming language, always developing and maintaining the core product. You will have responsibility for full lifecycle development. You are committed to producing high quality code and delivering to deadlines. Ownership and good taste about coding are a must! The role is located in central Athens, but it is possible to work from home some days of the week.

Your day-to-day

• Be responsible for full lifecycle development
• Work to improve overall system architecture and design components
• Design, implement, document new features and solve bugs on the platform
• Identify and communicate backend best practices and deliver to deadlines
• Write reliable tests and review others’ code to help keep the bugs out
• Work as a member of a cross-functional team and closely interact with other teams

What you will need

• 3+ years’ experience in Python programming language
• Experience in Test Driven Development
• Exposure to CI/CD
• Ability to learn and critique new technologies quickly
• Experience in a product-oriented company
• Ability to work with cross-functional multicultural teams
• Scrum agile methodologies experience will be highly appreciated

Great to have

• Experience in Go or C++ programming language
• Scrum agile methodologies experience
• Knowledge in DevOps
