About the role
On behalf of our client, an innovative start-up in the IoT space, we are currently looking for a motivated UI Designer, to join its software development team in Athens.
A day in the life of a UI Designer
We are looking for a UI Designer to help with the delivery of our solution by refining existing applications and designing new features. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean design, a knack for understanding user feedback and turning it into functional user interfaces and possess great time management skills.
Your day-to-day
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, and engineering teams to help define and implement innovative solutions for our applications
- Gather, evaluate, and help refine user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, developers, and product managers
- Create UX Deliverables such as user flows/wire flows, user personas and journeys, site maps, and wireframes to effectively communicate user/design needs
- Execute all design stages from lo-fi/hi-fi wireframes to final hand-off of UI screens and assets for development
- Present and defend designs to stakeholders, engineers, and product managers
- Collaborate closely with engineers during product development to translate design screens and prototypes to polished, functional, user-friendly products
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
What you will need
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer or similar role
- Existing portfolio of design projects
- Knowledge of design software and wire-framing tools (e.g. Photoshop, Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Figma)
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Ability to function with a certain degree of autonomy and help set priorities for the team
- Excellent time-management skills
- Team spirit & strong communication skills
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends
- Excellent communication skills in English (written/verbal)
