On behalf of our client, an innovative start-up in the IoT space, we are currently looking for a motivated UI Designer, to join its software development team in Athens.

A day in the life of a UI Designer

We are looking for a UI Designer to help with the delivery of our solution by refining existing applications and designing new features. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean design, a knack for understanding user feedback and turning it into functional user interfaces and possess great time management skills.

Your day-to-day

• Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, and engineering teams to help define and implement innovative solutions for our applications
• Gather, evaluate, and help refine user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, developers, and product managers
• Create UX Deliverables such as user flows/wire flows, user personas and journeys, site maps, and wireframes to effectively communicate user/design needs
• Execute all design stages from lo-fi/hi-fi wireframes to final hand-off of UI screens and assets for development
• Present and defend designs to stakeholders, engineers, and product managers
• Collaborate closely with engineers during product development to translate design screens and prototypes to polished, functional, user-friendly products
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

What you will need

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer or similar role
• Existing portfolio of design projects
• Knowledge of design software and wire-framing tools (e.g. Photoshop, Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Figma)
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Ability to function with a certain degree of autonomy and help set priorities for the team
• Excellent time-management skills
• Team spirit & strong communication skills
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends
• Excellent communication skills in English (written/verbal)
