A day in the life of a UX Designer

As a UX Researcher, you will report to the UX Manager and work closely with UI designers, project managers, and developers. This is a client-facing role that includes leading research in the form of client and customer interviews, designing, organizing, conducting user testing studies and workshops, as well as analyzing the results produced to ensure optimum user experience during the implementation of the project. 

Your day to day

• Design and organize workshops with clients
• Undertake facilitation in events and workshop sessions with clients and stakeholders
• Support the initial design, perform and analyze tests related to the study of user experience such as personas, customer journey maps, card sorting, competitor analysis, process flows, usability testing
• Participate in co-creation sessions with UI designers and produce low fidelity wireframes for project needs
• Design, coordinate and perform usability tests, expert evaluations and in-depth interviews with users
• Analyze findings to provide strategic recommendations based on user mental models, needs, preferences, expectations, and behaviors
• Research and propose new methodologies and tools that can be added to company's research portfolio
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and team members in a clear and concise format
• Analyze, evaluate and recommend to the UX best practices team on UX issues
• Produce report on research data

What you will need

• Minimum 2+ years of experience working exclusively as a UX Analyst/researcher
• Be great at distilling information from analytics software such as Google, Lucky Orange, Hotjar, etc and create funnel points to measure success
• Excellent presentation skills and experience in facilitating workshops
• A passion for user research and a thorough understanding of the design thinking processes and user psychology
• Awareness of design and usability best practices for web and mobile
• Ability to communicate your ideas on a wireframe level and present your discoveries with clients
