A day in the life of a Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer you will join a growing team of analytics experts. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing the company’s data pipeline, as well as optimizing data flow and collection. You will be part of a team that helps clients exploit their data through the deployment of cutting-edge analytics tools and innovative methodologies.

Your day-to-day

• Make exploration of data
• Use user-facing services
• Work on streaming services
• Involvement throughout the Delivery Lifecycle, starting from the Project Requirements Analysis and leading up to Design, Installation & Implementation, UAT and post-delivery Maintenance & Support
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Be responsible for custom-made solutions
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality

What you will need

• 2+ years’ experience and knowledge of Data Engineering
• Experience in JAVA or Scala programming language
• Hands-on experience or theoretical knowledge of Apache Spark
• Ability to learn and critique new technologies quickly
• Scrum & agile methodologies experience

Great to have

• Theoretical background in Machine Learning
