On behalf of our client, a US Cloud Security Product oriented company with more than five years in the sector and clients across the globe, we are currently looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join their aspirated team in their newly created hub in Athens.

A day in the life of a DevOps Engineer

You will be an expert in supporting company’s infrastructure and you will daily use techniques and tools to automate processes. You will need to think out of the box, demonstrate your adaptability and be able to improvise and re-organize on the fly.

Your day-to-day

• Maintaining Azure hosted infrastructure, as well as some on-premises infrastructure for various environments
• Monitoring, planning, and configuring aspects of the infrastructure as well as collaboration with other parties to improve performance, availability and reliability
• Daily use of Azure, Kubernetes, GitHub and Terraform, as well as a substantial number of additional applications for functions such as monitoring, logging, and error reporting
• Priority on incremental iteration and continuous improvements over knowing all the details from the start
• Constantly looking for new ways to improve the infrastructure and leverage the capabilities Azure, Kubernetes and hosted solutions, provide Security & privacy awareness
• Implementation of secure-first solutions with a shift-left mentality and not as an afterthought

What you will need

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps role
• Experience in operating a container orchestration cluster such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm or Nomad
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP or any other public cloud
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins and/or others
• Strong coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Strong Experience with Terraform
• Strong understanding of Distributed Architectures
• Experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL

Great to have

• Experience working with the Python ecosystem and web frameworks such as Django, Flask etc.
• Basic NoSQL knowledge (MongoDB, Redis) and experience with ELK
• Experience in Linux Administration (Debian, CentOS) and Some experience with Windows server system administration
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem & technologies such as O365, Azure Active Directory
• Some experience around monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and alerting
