On behalf of our client, an innovative Mobile Gaming & Betting company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Tech Lead to guide their highly empowered team of dynamic and talented professionals. The company is based in Athens but you have the opportunity to work from anywhere on a 100% remote basis!

A day in the life of a Senior Software Engineer – Tech Lead

You will be a valuable member of a talented software team that works on innovative mobile gaming & betting applications, utilizing emerging technologies and trends. Υour role includes application development while being present to the full software development life-cycle, from concept to design and testing.

Your day-to-day

• Lead the implementation of mobile app, web and backend applications
• Coordinate with business leads to elicit feature and performance requirements and translate into written technical designs
• Optimize applications performance and recommend software upgrades for existing systems
• Contribute in all phases of the development life-cycle, prepare and produce releases of software components
• Line management, of a small to medium engineering team composed of Senior Integration Engineers, Integration Engineers, QA and DevOps

What you will need

• BSc Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant domain
• At least five (5) years of development experience in a similar role utilizing Java technologies
• Working experience in VertX is considered a great plus!
• Solid understanding of the full development life cycle
• Passion for back end applications
